Stacey and Andrew’s Engagement Party at this Historic Melbourne Wedding Venue

Another beautiful balmy summer-like night saw one of Wattle park Chalet’s cocktail events, an engagement party, take place. The night belonged to the gorgeous Stacey and her equally beautiful fiance, Andrew.

The night began young with a small army of waiters  roaming the floor of the wedding reception venue with trays of drinks and scrumptious canapes.

First up was king prawns sitting on a beautiful mango salad and a chalet favourite, gourmet burgers. These two were just the first of many finger food items to be offered to the guests as the event was a cocktail style with the guests exploring the historic Chalet in between the patying. The burgers were, as always, very popular but it was the prawns that were the favourite with every guest who tried them almost instantly asking for more.

Next on the agenda was the first of the speeches. A very amusing speech from the bride to be’s father was undoubtedly the highlight as he had several people in near hysterics. Following the first round of speeches the canape barrage commenced again this time with seafood and antipasto platters scattered on the tall bar tables for people to help themselves. Meanwhile, the waiters were taking around the salt and pepper squid, another regular favourite and tonight was no exception. Accompanying it were Parmesan and green pea arancini with a little tomato relish, Cumin crusted lamb served with a babaganoush sauce to name the highlights.

The end of the speeches also marked the opening of the bar and even more importantly, the opening of the dance floor. As expected the crowd was ready to celebrate and the opening songs had just about everyone on their feet and up dancing. The energy of the guests was very impressive with most guests spending hours dancing around the two love-birds. But unfortunately all good things must come to an end and tonight was no exception to this rule.

The DJ really made an effort to send the two lovebirds of in style and his efforts were rewarded by a very receptive and very merry crowd all wishing the two the best with the next stage of their lives.
