It’s always a pleasure to see couples bring a lot of their individual flare to their Melbourne Summer wedding, and Matthew and Daniela were certainly one of them. Their entrance into their wedding reception at the Wattle Park Chalet was unexpectedly unique and fun, and it certainly set the mood for the rest of the night. One of their friends walked in as a page boy, the best man walked in carrying the maid of honour and with a Darth Vader helmet on his head!
After the couple of the night entered the room, the guests erupted into an amazing tarantella dance. After that they were nicely warmed up for more dancing. The DJ played “That’s Amore” which excited all of their Italian family members. Daniela’s nonno took his granddaughter’s hand and took centre stage. Everyone else circled them and ran around the floor. The energy in the room was like no other.
When it came to the most special dance of the night, the first dance, it was straight out of a fairy tale. Matthew took Daniela in his arms and they swayed romantically to Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect”. “We are still kids but we’re so in love, fighting against all odds, I know we’ll be alright this time”, the song represented the young couple as if it was written for them.
“I don’t have much experience in love, but I believe in true love because of you”, one of their bride’s maids had said in her speech. It was clear that Matthew and Daniela, although young, had found each other’s soul mate.
