For many brides, your wedding day is something you have been dreaming about since being a little girl. So it is very easy to become caught up in the moment allowing stress, and pressure take over the enjoyment of planning your special day. Here are 5 quick tips to keep cool during the planning of your wedding.

ONE: Don’t Over Shop

I’m sure we’ve all been there before. When you look at so many options that they all just begin to blend together. When looking for the perfect photographer, the perfect florist, or the perfect dress remember not to over do it. Of course research is important, you want to know you are getting the best service possible, however when you find a photographer you like, trust your instincts! There is no point spending another 3 months trying to top them.

TWO: Trust Your Suppliers

Once you have chosen all your vendors, try to put your trust in them. Remember, they do this for a living. Work together and collaborate, taking your ideas and inspiration, and combining it with their expert opinion. This can often be a really fun part of the whole experience, especially if you are whiling to loosen the rains a bit, and have some fun!

THREE: Depend on Friends and Family

Did you know it takes roughly 250-300 hours to plan a wedding for 125 people? That is quite a feat to complete on your own. Don’t be afraid to reach out to friends and family for help, you never know what hidden talents some of your guests may possess. It is also a great way to save some time and money. If you are feeling overwhelmed? Delegate! Send your bridesmaids on missions. That is quite literally what they are there for!

FOUR: Keep Perspective

After hours of scrolling through Pinterest, it is easy to get caught up in all the different ideas and aspects of designing and planning. Weddings can get very pricey, very quickly, so try to remember what is really important. Do you really need those specific vases you saw in a picture on Instagram? or can you find and alternative for half the price? at the end of the day, you are the only one who will know the difference!

FIVE: Remember to Breath

This is your big day, try to remember to enjoy it. It is important, especially on the actual day, to take some moments for yourself to take it all in. Before you know it, the day will be over, and you want to remember more than the car being 5 minutes late, or not getting a piece of cake at your own wedding!
