Giselle & Garry’s wedding reception venue at Wattle Park

We could not have imagined a more fitting wedding to finish off another year of functions at The Wattle Park Chalet wedding reception venue than the wedding reception of Giselle and Garry. It was the perfect beginning to their new life, shared together as married husband and wife, and also a perfect ending to 2016.

Giselle, Garry, their bridal party and their family all shared gorgeous, gleaming smiles that never faded throughout the night, and fresh bouquets and boutonnieres with king proteas supported by gum leaves and accented by adorable little craspedias.

The band on the balcony punched out amazing beats and horns all night and their music made every guest, young and old, get up on their feet on the dance floor.

Their first dance, as most first dances do, was a beautiful reflection of their happy relationship. They danced to an upbeat tune, holding each other’s hands, smiling and laughing together, and grooving from side to side to the music. It was one of the most energetic and joyous first dances we had seen at this wedding reception venue.

After Giselle threw her bouquet, Garry suddenly took his bride’s hand and lead her to the stairs, and up the balcony overlooking the main hall of the wedding reception venue. The guests all shifted and gazed up at Giselle, slightly confused, as Garry swung the electric guitar strap across his shoulders. He took the microphone and dedicated a song for Giselle like in the movies. Nervously at the start, but eventually gaining momentum, Garry played the biggest and purest love song of 2016, “Say You Won’t Let Go” by James Arthur. The guests all ‘aww’ed in unison at this adorable expression of love. Giselle, surprised and touched, seemed to be overfilled with happiness.

We wish them all the joy and happiness for the future.
