Christina and David’s Wedding

Christina and David’s reception was a beautiful integration of Christina’s Greek background and David’s Vietnamese background.

After the bridal party entered the room, the room was suddenly filled with fierce drumming and the cymbals clashing as the guests were filled with anticipation. Two mighty lions blasted through the door along with Buddha and performed a traditional Vietnamese lion dance. They jumped up and down powerfully with their red and golden costume fluttering and glittering with light.

Under the hundreds of fairy lights that filled the main hall of The Chalet, David and Christina danced to a classic love song, Minnie Riperton’s “Lovin’ You”. David couldn’t help himself but kiss Christina on the cheek many times as they rocked back and forth to the angelic ‘sha la la’. We all fell in love with the beautiful couple. In particular, Christina was breathtakingly gorgeous in her red ao dai, a traditional Vietnamese wedding dress made of lace and silk.

After the formalities, the DJ blasted wonderful Greek music and the guests, even David’s Vietnamese family and friends, joined in the dance circle and stepped the traditional kalamatianos dance. The dancefloor was packed with energy and excitement as the guests all danced with their arms in the air.
