Janice and Roger loves having fun; and their wedding reception was the masterpiece of them and their friends’. Their mischievous plans began to click in when we had least expected it. Roger lead Janice on to the dancefloor for their first dance and they held each other and swayed to the music and the guests all watched dreamily when suddenly Meghan Train’s ‘All About That Base’ started to play. Everyone looked up at the DJ on the balcony and horror; surely he’d made a mistake! But swiftly, Janice and her bride’s maids lined up and was shimmying to the music before we knew it. The boys seemed confused at the sudden flash mob at the start, but when the music changed, they threw on matching sunglasses and it was now their turn to surprise us with their dance. Soon it was a perfectly choreographed boys versus girls dance off!
One of the highlights of the night was their wedding game. Janice was blind folded in front of a line of Roger and his friends, and she had to pick out her new husband just by touching his calf. The guests giggled as they nervously watched and was amazed when she picked Roger’s calf out of five! Then it was Roger’s turn to pick Janice out by her hand. He was blind folded in front of a row of women. The guests watched on, wondering if Roger knew Janice as well as she knew him. After some hesitation, Roger picked Janice and the guests were relieved and excited and they roared and applauded for the couple that was so obviously perfect for each other, but had once again proven their love in an unconventional, but definitely adorable way.
After dinner, their friends performed a song they had prepared for Janice and Roger. The beautiful string quartet made our hearts swell with love. Surrounded by their friends and family, Janice and Roger seemed to glow with happiness.
